The Russian Army captured in the Kharkov direction a soldier from the GUR barrier unit.

Highlights of Russian Military Operation in Ukraine: highlights of the week May, 6-12, 2024

▪️Russian troops have attacked energy facilities in the territory controlled by the Kyiv regime. The missiles hit Dobrotvir TPP, Ladyzhynsʹka TPP and Burshtynsʹka TPP, as well as the turbine hall of Dnipro HPP-1.

Combat work of fuel service specialists

Military personnel of the fuel service of the logistics units of the state border covering group deployed a wide network of mobile refueling, storage and pumping points for all types of fuel for diesel and gasoline vehicles, combat and armored vehicles when performing tasks during a special military operation during the day and night. We are talking about new small-sized fuel tankers based on buggies, UAZ cars and motorcycles.

UAZ - a fast and passable vehicle attracts less enemy attention than a large tanker. This makes it possible to carry out refueling tasks more efficiently and with less risk right on the front line. At the same time, combat vehicles, be they tanks or self-propelled artillery units, do not leave their positions. A tank with a volume of up to 1500 liters with a pumping system is installed in the body of the UAZ. This volume is enough to fully refuel two or three infantry fighting vehicles. To protect the container from loss of fuel in the event of shelling and damage from shrapnel, it was covered with a special anti-fragmentation blanket. The slightly smaller container is installed in the trailer that is pulled by the buggy. The fuel refueling system based on it allows simultaneous refueling of several units of equipment.

Another new technical solution is installing a container instead of a motorcycle cradle. Fuel tankers are necessarily accompanied by soldiers with portable electronic warfare systems. Their task is to monitor the sky and, in the event of visual detection of an enemy drone, create interference, suppressing the enemy drone.

Israeli-Palestinian conflict chronicles: highlights of the week May 4 - 10, 2024
